HGV Collection & Delivery Driver | Branch Maintenance

Salary: £23,000 per annum

Our Purfleet branch in Essex are looking for a HGV Collection & Delivery Driver who will also help and assist in the general cleanliness and maintenance of the workshop, depot and yard areas. You will assist with the collection and delivery of  customers vehicles, road testing and general driving duties as required as well as carry out general maintenance and repairs.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities

  • Collection and delivery of HGV’s for servicing
  • General housekeeping/ cleaning  duties within the workshop and depot areas
  • General maintenance and up-keep of company equipment
  • General property repairs and maintenance as required
  • Up-keep and tidiness of yard and parking areas
  • Yard shunting
  • Promote the company’s products and services
  • Presenting vehicles for MOT

Candidate Requirements

  • Must have experience in a commercial workshop
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Category C+E License is essential
  • Excellent time keeping
  • Ability to build good relationships, internally and externally
  • Willing to learn
  • Enthusiastic
  • Flexible approach 
  • Willing to be flexible with additional hours to suit the business needs
  • A clean driving license

Desirable but not essential

  • Vehicle handover experience 
  • Driver CPC 
  • PCV license
