Sales Manager –Used Vehicles

Salary – £45,000 to £50,000 per annum + Bonus + Car + Benefits

Working hours – Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:30

Due to our continued success as one of the country’s leading suppliers of heavy commercial vehicles we have an exciting opportunity for Sales Manager-Used Vehicles. You will need to be a self- starter, committed and driven to making yourself a success but above all else, have a strong work ethic to lead a new and exciting team.

Based at our New Used Truck Sales Centre in AVONMOUTH and reporting to the Regional Executive Director, you will be responsible for initiating new ways to enhance sales and profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the regional vehicle displays
  • Oversee and motivate the sales team
  • Maximise company revenue by up-selling potential Finance and Aftersales contracts with vehicle
  • Develop customer relationships and fulfil customer requirements
  • Gain knowledge and contribute to research of the Used Sales market in terms of customer needs, product range and price
  • Ensure a quality customer focus is maintained
  • Maintain adequate records of all customer sales and enquiries
  • Create new relationships
  • Increase brand presence
  • Identify and develop selling opportunities in order to maintain and increase sales volumes against targets
  • Promote and sell Scania vehicles to increase revenue

Key requirements for the role:

  • Clean driving licence with a HGV licence
  • Previous sales management background
  • An excellent product and technical knowledge of heavy commercial vehicles
  • A good team player
  • Ability to work under pressure and be able to prioritise your own workload
  • Ability to work unsupervised and to meet clear targets and deadlines
  • Self-motivated with a dedicated approach to work
  • Good organisational skills
  • Customer focussed skills
  • Integrity
  • Good levels of numeracy
  • Knowledge of computer programmes, including Excel, Outlook and Word

Desirable experience but not essential:

  • Clean driving licence preferably with Class 1 or 2 HGV

  • Previous sales background
