Technical Instructor

£34,000 – £40,000 + bonus + benefits

Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week 

Scania is successfully leading the way as a supplier of heavy commercial vehicles, we have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Instructor to join the training team. Based at our Training Centre in Loughborough you will be responsible for promoting and delivering technical training for the Scania network and customers and be able to assist in the development and training delivery of all aspects of the subjects.

You will need to develop and maintain an excellent knowledge of Scania products and a very good understanding of the organisation, both in the UK and in Sweden

Responsibilities:

  • Working alongside the training team to deliver training of technical and general courses to the Scania network and customers
  • Development of related courses
  • Development of system training processes
  • Development of infrastructure and offer solutions to ensure Scania keeps the lead in this market
  • Work with customers to help develop training solutions to form closer working relationships
  • Attend training  meetings in the UK and abroad
  • Maintain the training facilities and equipment with other members of the team to maintain an excellent reputation
  • Work with the Process Improvement Team and to promote continuous improvement in all aspects of work
  • Work with the Technical department sharing best practice and ideas

  • Excellent knowledge of the automotive industry and Scania products

  • Ability to work on own initiative under pressure and as a team player in a busy department and cross-functionally
  • Demonstrate trustworthiness and integrity at all times
  • Computer literate including good working knowledge of Microsoft systems
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Previous experience in a similar role desirable
