Warehouse Operative – Goods In

£22,000 to £24,000

2 Week rota pattern

Week 1 – Monday to Friday 07:00 to 16:00

Week 2 – Monday to Friday 10:00 to 19:00

Due to our continued success as one of the country’s leading suppliers of heavy commercial vehicles we have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Operative who takes pride in providing excellent customer service and has a passion for working with the best.

Based at our Heathrow Branch you will be responsible for uploading all inbound delivery vehicles.

Responsibilities:

  • Working as a part of dedicated Goods In team
  • Dealing with incoming trailers and other deliveries
  • Unloading goods
  • Receipt of Scania & local product on delivery
  • Ensure product is accurately booked to stock
  • Manage any cross docks from network or suppliers
  • All stock to be binned on the same day as arrival to maintain service levels
  • Efficient handling of new parts and finding suitable bin location
  • Daily housekeeping of dock and returns area
  • Constantly review all products to ensure they are in the correct bin location
  • Manage local product returns when necessary

Key requirements for the role:

  • High understanding of warehouse operations, especially Goods-In
  • Fork Lift Licences for Counter Balance, OPT, Combi and Reach Truck
  • Accuracy
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work on own initiative within team environment
  • Previous experience of using AS400 computer system
  • Excellent all round communication skills
  • Previous experience in a busy warehouse environment
  • Methodical with good organisational skills
